John Wayne Airport reported one-quarter mile visibility from 0031 to 0101 PST on the 9th. Fullerton Municipal Airport reported one-quarter mile visibility from 0400 to 0743 PST on the 9th. Los Alamitos U.S. Army Airfield reported one-quarter mile or less visibility from 0216 am to 0858 PST on the 9th.

Wider weather episode

A very shallow marine layer resulted in areas of dense fog along the immediate coast of Orange and San Diego Counties, impacting some of the coastal airports. Pockets of very low visibility also affected portions of Interstates 8 and 5.
