Ice and snow accumulations resulted in road closures in New Mexico, including U.S. Highway 82 from Lovington to the Texas State line.

A mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow fell over southeast New Mexico and west Texas as an arctic airmass resided over the region, and downstream of a slow moving upper trough.
