Event narrative
Flash flooding forced several families to evacuate their homes in Barrio Borinquen and Camaseyes of Aguadilla. At least 10 families lost all their personal belongings and other 90 suffered partial losses. Roads 459, 467, and 468 reported damage as well as Marina Street and Parterre.
Wider weather episode
Frontal trough that extended from just south of Dominican Republic northeast across the Mona Passage and then continued northeast into the central Atlantic was responsible for the moderate to heavy rains that affected parts of Puerto Rico from mid afternoon Friday March 31 through the early morning of Saturday April 1.
