Golfball sized hail was reported by several members of the public just east of Pagosa Springs in a sparsely populated location. Some damage occurred to vehicles.

Wider weather episode

Strong to severe thunderstorms moved through the foothills of the San Juan mountains near Pagosa Springs during the afternoon of September 29th. The strongest storm moved through eastern Archuleta County which produced damaging outflow winds and large hail.
