A wind gust of 40 knots (46 mph) occurred as a line of showers and isolated thunderstorms moved through the Lewes NOS Buoy (just off of Sussex County, Delaware).
The wider storm
A line of showers and isolated thunderstorms accompanying a cold frontal passage produced strong wind gusts over Delaware Bay and the Atlantic coastal waters from Ocean County, New Jersey southward through coastal Delaware.
