A line of strong thunderstorms developed over Lake Erie during the morning hours of the 10th. This area of thunderstorms moved south-southeast and eventually onshore into northern Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania. Wind gusts were estimated to be 35 knots or greater as the thunderstorms passed through the nearshore and open waters.
