Event narrative

The Brins fire started from an abandon camp fire about two miles north of Sedona. The fire burned northward over Wilson Mountain and down into Oak Creek Canyon. The fire stopped at Highway 89A to the east and Slide Rock State Park to the north. A total of 4,317 acres burned.
