Slow moving thunderstorms produced very heavy rainfall on already saturated ground. A 9-year-old boy was killed after being swept into a storm sewer in Oakland City. The boy was playing in the drainage ditch in his front yard and got swept into a flow tube, where he became trapped. The storms caused flooding of low-lying areas, and some roads were closed.
