A potent winter storm brought heavy snowfall to south central and southeast Colorado beginning late night on the 26th and lasting into the afternoon of the 27th. However, snow continud to fall and accumulate across the south central and southwest mountains until early morning of the 29th. Snowfall totals ranged from 3 to 6 inches for the Pueblo area, 6 to 11 inches for the southern foothills and the San Luis Valley, and 10 to 17 inches for the mountains. Summitville, in the San Juan Mountains received a storm total of 23 inches.
