A storm system moved across south central and southeast Colorado, producing an upslope flow that brought snow to the eastern foothills and plains. Snowfall amounts were generally 1 to 4 inches, with icy roads and dense fog creating hazardous travel conditions and numerous accidents the morning of the 27th. Other snowfall amounts included 14 inches at Cuchara, Summittville, and Wolf Creek, 11 inches at Aspen Acres Campground, 10 inches at Howard, and 9 inches at Rye.
