Heavy lake effect snow accumulated an average of two to three feet over a 7 day period. Total storm amounts ranged from 21 inches in Conneautville (Crawford County) to 55 inches in Edinboro (Erie County). The storm downed numerous trees and limbs, some on buildings, some on power and telephone lines and some across roads, closing them to traffic. Houses, garages, carports, mobile homes, barns and commercial buildings suffered collapsed or severely damaged roofs from the heavy snow.
