A Pacific storm system brought heavy snow to the Eastern San Juan, La Garita and northern Sangre de Cristo Mountains from the evening of the 22nd through the 23rd. Snow amounts ranged from 5 to 10 inches in parts of the Eastern San Juan Mountains, and 3 to 6 inches in the La Garita and northern sections of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
