A moderate 990mb low moved up from the northcentral Pacific across Seguam Island late Monday...weakening rapidly just off the Yukon River Delta late Tuesday morning. A moderate front in a southward arc from the low brought brisk southerly winds to much of the Alaska Peninsula and offshore areas of the extreme eastern Aleutians, where gusts from 40 to 55 mph were reported. Wind gusts reached 41 mph at Bethel, along the Kuskokwim Delta coast, on Tuesday.
