Daily record high temperatures of 77 and 81 degrees were set at Albuquerque on the 20th and 21st. This capped nearly three weeks of dry and unusually warm weather. Temperatures during the period across the northern two-thirds of the state averaged 4 to 8 degrees warmer than normal raising concern for a high fire danger season and prompting the early budding of trees and greening of spring plants and grasses.
