A large thunderstorm or thunderstorm complex moving north-northwest over the eastern Upper Yukon Valley produced rains of .9 to 1.1 on the evening of the 26th through the morning of the 27th. Bankfull conditions occurred on the Sheenjak River, with an Alaska State Department of Fish and Game Fish Counting Sonar Camp having to be moved temporarily to the Porcupine River during Aug 30th until Sep 1st. The camp, was located 6 river miles upstream on the Sheenjak from its confluence with the Porcupine River. Crest was estimated to pass late on the evening of the 31st.
