Dense Fog in W Riverside T X Nw, California

An isolated pocket of dense, radiation fog developed near Lake Elsinore. The wall of fog shrouded the southbound lanes of the I-15, and surprised motorists on an otherwise clear morning. In the span of 45 minutes, twenty people were injured in a series of seven accidents along a half mile stretch of the freeway north of the Main Street exit. Twenty-two vehicles and a big-rig were involved, shutting down the southbound lanes for more than five hours. Most injuries were minor, but two people were hospitalized.
