Event narrative

Freezing rain turned snow-covered Whatcom County roads into a slick mess. Anywhere from 3 to 7 inches of snow fell overnight followed by freezing rain the next morning. The airport was closed for about 4 hours and there were around 30 accidents on state highways, however, no one was injured. There weren't many power outages but schools were closed that day.
