Event narrative
Numerous trees and powerlines were toppled. Literally hundreds of trees were uprooted of snapped. A number of homes and automobiles throughout the area suffered damage. Several chicken houses had their roofs blown off. The Sabine National Forest suffered over 70,000 acres of damage with 5,000 acres completely levelled resulting in 300 million board feet of timber damaged. Six million dollars in damage belongs to property while nine million dollars belongs to timber loss.
