Heavy snow fell in portions of the Front Range Foothills and adjacent plains. Snowfall totals included: 11 inches near the Chief Hosa Exit, 10 inches 3 miles west of Evergreen, 8.5 inches at Broomfield, 8 inches at Bailey with 7 inches 4 miles north of Fort Collins, North Thornton and at Standley Lake. Elsewhere snowfall totals ranged from 3 to 6 inches. Several accidents occurred along area roads and highways as they became snowpacked and slick.
