A deep moist northeast airflow brought heavy snow to the south central mountains and southern foothills late night the 25th into the afternoon of the 26th. Snowfall amounts ranged from 6 to 10 inches across the entire area, with an incredible total of 26 inches at Cuchara in the Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains and at Aspen Acres Campground in the Wet Mountains.
