A blinding snow squall caused several multi-vehicle accidents (involving a total of about 40 vehicles) on Interstate 93 near the Windham/Derry line. The accidents occurred about 12:30 pm when the squall hit, reducing visabilities to near zero and causing the roadway to become extremely slippery. Area hospitals treated 14 of the injured.
