A spotter 8 WSW Lakeview reported large hail with a thunderstorm. The hail was mostly pea-sized but some were quarter-size.
Wider weather episode
Cold air aloft combined with surface heating to create widespread convection across southern Oregon...and several of the thunderstorms became severe.
