High winds continue to buffet locations in and near the Front Range Foothills. Fortunately the tree, which measured 10 feet in circumference, only penetrated the home's interior in a few places. In Boulder, high winds caused a power outage in the Pinebrook Hills and Boulder Heights subdivisions. Five hundred residents were without electricity for about 6 hours. Peak wind reports included: 90 mph (78 kts) at Carter Lake and Wondervu, 88 mph (76 kts) at the Rocky Flats Environmental Test Facility, 85 mph (74 kts) 4 miles south of Livermore, 83 mph (72 kts) 5 miles west of Conifer and 82 mph (71 kts) at Blue Mountain.
