A low pressure center tracked east over the southern Arctic Ocean and produced blizzard conditions along the central and eastern Beaufort Sea coast during the evening of the 3rd and into the early morning of the 4th.

Zone 203: Blizzard conditions were likely at Nuiqsut, as reported by the ASOS, with winds gusting as high as 47 kt (54 mph) and the visibility reduced to one quarter mile.

Zone 204: Blizzard conditions were likely at Point Thompson, as reported by the AWOS, with winds gusting as high as 51 kt (58 mph) and the visibility reduced to one quarter mile.
