The wider storm

A deep low pressure system moved across South Dakota creating a tight pressure gradient over the western coounties. A strong cold front associated with this system moved eastward through the region and winds became very strong around noon, and then died down around sunset as the cold front and low pressure system moved into northeastern South Dakota.
