The wider storm
Another, mostly marginal, high wind event occurred from the San Luis Valley to Kansas and south to New Mexico. The highest winds, gusts over 70 mph, were reported in and near Alamosa, on Fort Carson in El Paso county, and in the Walsenburg area.
