A powerful, fast moving winter storm brought heavy snow to the central Colorado mountains , Teller county and the Rampart Range, and Monument Ridge. Accumulations in excess of 8 inches blanketed the eastern Sawatch Range and Mosquito Range, while 3 to 4 inches of snow fell in the Upper Arkansas Valley, including Leadville. Eight to 10 inches of snow fell in Teller county at Cripple Creek, Divide, and Woodland Park. In northern El Paso county 8 to 15 inches of snow occurred in the Monument, Eastonville, and Peyton areas from late evening of the 21st through midday on the 22nd.
