The most significant snowstorm of the winter season blasted northern Arizona with heavy snow. Heavy snowfall criteria was met in all of the above zones. Significant storm snowfall totals include Prescott 12", Winslow 9", Flagstaff 20", Blue Ridge 28", Happy Jack 30", Alpine 24", Payson 20", Sedona 9", and Cordes Junction at an elevation of 3800 feet, 4 inches. Highway travel was hampered throughout the region, and local law enforcement reported at least 31 auto collisions during the first 24 hours of the storm.
