The center of a weather system moved across northern New Mexico, bringing periods of heavy snow to the eastern San Juan Mountains, and isolated areas of the southern Sangre de Cristo mountains. Cuchara, in Huerfano county, logged 8 1/2 inches of snow, while 12 to 18 inches of snow accumulated in the Creede area in northern Mineral county.
