Heavy rain during the afternoon hours over parts of northwest Puerto Rico, upstream of Rio Grande de Anasco, produce a sudden rise in the stage near Anasco. Two fishermen at the mouth of the river were swept away. One could reach the shore and the other one drowned. The body was recovered about a month later when the waters receded.
