A waterspout that developed over Bull Shoals Lake moved southwest into Lead Hill Park in Boone County, or about 4 miles north of Lead Hill. As it moved ashore, its classification changed to a tornado. The tornado was weak, but caused considerable damage to several camping trailers. Trees were also downed or snapped. Twenty six people were injured, with 5 people injured seriously. The tornado tracked roughly four tenths of a mile before dissipating.
