A Red Flag Warning for dry lightning was issued for most of southwest and southcentral Oregon at 1000 LDT on 07/20/99. The coast and the Cascade/Siskiyou mountains were excluded. This warning verified with at least 5 dry-lightning ignited fires reported in Jackson County alone. On the east side of the Cascades, two dry-lightning ignited fires were reported in the Winema National Forest and another was reported near Fort Rock, Oregon. The warning was cancelled at 2110 LDT.
