The wider storm

A quasi-stationary front stalled across south Georgia with drier mid level air in place and steep low level lapse rates. The sea breezes in concert with forcing from the stalling front spawned afternoon thunderstorms, with enhancement as mid level short wave trough energy passed over the area.

Began near Tarver (30.7000, -82.9200).
