The Pendola Incident was sparked by downed power lines, but was exacerbated by strong winds and steep terrain. Four injuries and zero deaths were reported. The fire destroyed 13 residences, 61 outbuildings, and 41 vehicles. Farm stock was also threatened, but not destroyed. Fire suppression costs exceeded 7 million dollars.
