A line of showers and severe thunderstorms produced a wind gust of 56 knots (64 mph) at Brandywine Shoal Light.
The wider storm
An approaching cold front helped trigger a line of showers and thunderstorms that moved through the area waters during the afternoon of the 22nd. There were multiple instances of wind gusts reaching gale force as this line moved through.
