A second severe thunderstorm produced a wind gust of 52 knots (60 mph) at Brandywine Shoal Light.

An approaching cold front helped trigger a line of showers and thunderstorms that moved through the area waters during the afternoon of the 22nd. There were multiple instances of wind gusts reaching gale force as this line moved through.
