Event narrative

Heavy rains around Girdwood and in Portage Valley prompted a Flash Flood Watch for small streams. Over 2 inches of rain was recorded in 12 hours around Girdwood, with much higher amounts around Portage. Minor flooding was reported just off the road to Portage.Additionally, gusty winds were reported offshore in areas of Prince William Sound adjacent to the Gulf of Alaska.
