An early winter storm brought up to 10 inches of rain to the north Oregon coast causing flooding and landslides. In Tillamook County the Nehalem River reached 18.5 ft (5 ft over flood stage). In Lincoln County the Siletz River reached 28.5 ft (16 ft over flood stage). The Governor proclaimed a State of Emergency for both Tillamook and Lincoln Counties. Evacuations: 58 in Tillamook County and 12 in Lincoln County. Losses in Tillamook County: estimated at $1.35 million to private residences, business, farm, crop and livestock and another $1.06 million in roads. Losses in Lincoln County: estimated at residences $0.20 million, City of Toledo $0.20 million, roads $0.30 million and a residual slide estimated to cost $1.00 million. In addition state highway 18 estimated at $0.60 to repair.
