Rather unusual flooding persisted for 24 hours or more after the rain from the previous day had ended. The Reedy River continued to flood downstream, causing at least one road to be closed northwest of Hickory Tavern. As crests slowly moved downstream in Anderson county, some evacuations were necessary, but most problems were found in and around the city of Anderson.
