At 1346 PST Mojave Tower reported wind from 260 Degrees at 50 gusting to 70 Knots. A mountain wave was apparent on satellite imagery over the lee side of the Tehachapi Mountains and over the desert area. The wave clouds were still visible on satellite imagery at sunset.
