Another 10 inches of snow was recorded in the Thompson Pass area between midnight and 7:30 am Monday. Total snowfall during the weekend included 33 inches at Valdez and a whopping 57 inches in Thompson Pass. About 35 miles north of the Pass, 24 inches of new snow was reported in a 24 hour period.In the Copper River Basin, local snowfall amounts from 6 to 20 inches were reported along the Richardson Highway south of Copper Center and around Chitna (greatest amount).
