A wind gust of 40 MPH was estimated at a platform in West Cameron Block 68.
Wider weather episode
A large upper level trough stalled over the southwest states while multiple short waves rotated around the larger trough over a few days. This produced multiple rounds of strong storms over the the coastal waters.
