A strong and moist storm system generated some heavy snow accumulations in excess of 8 inches across the higher terrain of southern Colorado...including the Mosquito and eastern Sawatch Ranges...the northern Sangre de Cristo Mountains...and the highest terrain of the Wet Mountains and Pikes Peak.
