What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

A National Weather Service storm survey found tornado damage near the cities of Krugerville and Aubrey. The tornado began just east of US 377 near Woodland Drive in Krugerville, before moving northeast into open fields. The tornado did minimal damage, with only a few shingles missing from a neighborhood of well built homes. Further east, a farm house suffered more damage, along with several trees being uprooted.

The wider storm

An active Spring weather pattern led to numerous severe thunderstorms, many of which produced tornadoes, across north Texas during Mother's Day Weekend. The prolonged period of strong to severe storms was made possible by a slow-moving upper level low pressure system which moved east from the Rockies through the Southern Plains. Activity began on Friday and continued through Mother's Day evening.

Began near Aubrey (33.2769, -96.9836).
