Event narrative
A rancher along the Greybull River northeast of Meeteetse reported one inch diameter hail.
Wider weather episode
The combination of an upper level disturbance and a dying frontal boundary over northern Wyoming aided in the development of thunderstorms near the Absaroka Range. The storms fired around Cody and moved southeast producing large hail in southern Park and northern Hot Springs counties.
