USAF tower 0300 recorded a 36-knot wind gust out of the south southwest as showers moved offshore Cape Canaveral.

The wider storm

Weak low pressure over the eastern Gulf of Mexico enhanced offshore flow over east central Florida. Fast moving showers produced strong wind gusts as they pushed offshore Brevard County.
