USAF wind tower 0311 recorded peak winds of 35 knot at Playalinda Beach as a thunderstorm spread across the coast and into the Atlantic.

Thunderstorms produced winds of 35 to 40 knots as they spread from the mainland, across the intracoastal waters, barrier islands and to the Atlantic of northern Merritt Island and Cape Canaveral.
