A WeatherFlow site at the Aquarina Research and Development Lab south of Melbourne Beach recorded a 34-knot wind gust out of the south southwest as thunderstorms pushed offshore.
Wider weather episode
Enhanced westerly flow across the state focused thunderstorm development along the east coast of Florida, with a few storms producing strong winds as they pushed over the intracoastal and into the Atlantic.
