A CWOP station along the Indian River Lagoon in Melbourne Beach recorded a peak wind gust of 38 knots as thunderstorms moved over the intracoastal.

Southwest flow maintained a warm and moist atmosphere over central Florida. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms developed over the mainland and produced strong wind gusts as they pushed offshore Brevard and Volusia Counties.
