A waterspout developed over Crab Island along the leading edge of a strong outflow boundary.

Wider weather episode

A large outflow boundary produced from thunderstorms well inland, quickly raced south across the Alabama and northwest Florida coastal waters on the afternoon of June 30th. Numerous strong wind gusts were produced by this outflow boundary.
